Non-Discrimination Statement

Non-Discrimination Statement

The Center for Watershed Protection (CWP) follows federal anti-discrimination requirements and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age,  sex, religion, or other protected characteristics in administration of its programs or activities.  CWP does not intimidate or retaliate against any individual or group because they have exercised their rights to participate in actions protected, or oppose action prohibited, by 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7, or for the purpose of interfering with such rights.  It is CWP’s policy that individuals who raise concerns or refuse to participate in what they believe are potentially discriminatory programs, trainings, or policies are protected from adverse actions and retaliation based on their concerns or refusal to participate.  All workplace programs, activities, and resources are open to all qualified individuals, regardless of race, sex, or other protected characteristics.  CWP also offers confidential, accessible channels for individuals to report concerns about potentially unlawful practices.  All these principles are included in CWP’s employee handbook.

In addition, CWP incorporates anti-discrimination requirements in its grant subaward agreements and conveys to funding recipients that they must adhere to federal anti-discrimination requirements: subrecipients are advised that non-compliance can result in termination of program funding.

CWP fosters an environment in which all voices are heard and values the unique perspectives and opinions from a talented, diverse, and inclusive workforce.  CWP believes it is important to recognize our differences and embrace practices that foster a fair, safe, and inclusive workplace by promoting equitable access to opportunities. This includes ensuring that qualified applicants with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations
