Building resilience and nonpoint source literacy with community stakeholders: The Watershed Game – train-the-trainer workshop featuring the new Coast Model

In this pre-conference workshop participants will learn about the Watershed Game and will gain the necessary knowledge and skills needed to facilitate and use this highly effective tool in their own programs and education efforts.  The training will focus on the new Local Leader Coast Model featuring nitrogen as one of pollutants of concern while simultaneously building a community’s resilience to flooding.  The training will also include the existing stream-based Classroom Version and an opportunity to provide input in the 2022 effort to create a classroom version of the new Coast Model.

Workshop participants will learn how the Watershed Game can be used to help meet the objectives of their education efforts and programs and will be ready to play the game in their communities. Participants can order a copy of the game(s) following workshop.
